The 401(k) retirement account, which has become a linchpin of the U.S. retirement system, is also a prime example of how Americans are failing to save enough for retirement. Pending legislation might help. By MSNBC.com's Roland Jones.
Live vote: Do you support the Senate bailout package?
At least two major banks were reportedly in talks Sunday to buy Wachovia Corp., the latest U.S. bank to be the focus of investor anxiety over mounting losses tied to toxic assets.

BTW, if you really are in contracting? And crap. For the life of me I just don't know. There's just too many weirdos here ...
The thing to do now is to not panic, but to persevere, survive, and stay tough, and do it all with pride. That's the essence of being American in my view. We don't scream, get depressed, blame somebody else, roll over and die, which is what libs are prone to do, and what they're doing right now in fact especially in light of what's happening with the election.
You want to make your business work?
Have faith. Stay grounded. Think. Take personal responsibility and make that f*cker happen even if it takes the rest of your life. This is America. And a good man can make anything happen. Anything. You just have to stick to it, be smart about it, and be happy about it.

Good day to you too.
Here's the deal.
If you're very loud in making assertions? And it's obvious those assertions are very wrong? I WILL rip you into an second a-hole.
And the reality? I don't rip on people by screaming and name calling. And I believe you know this.
I do it with reasoning.
That's why it hurts so much. If I were just name calling? It would have utterly no impact.
I talked about contractors getting hammered because of the housing market. Well. It's taking down *massive* insurance agencies too! These companies didn't listen to Buffet who over a year ago warned of the housing bubble. Buffet is an insurance man BTW, and Berkshire Hathaway is doing just fine. Not so for other insurance companies though. That's what happens when you bet against Buffet. Interesting story. History in the making actually.
The bottom line is this.
If Main Street is hurting?
Do you want ANY tax hikes?
I say no.
Wait for a time of prosperity and stability to raise taxes.
You don't raise taxes for ANYONE when times are tough.
That's just ONE reason why I'm for McCain.
Take it easy.
